[Helena’s Platforms]

I love my website, as a hub it keeps everything together. I have quite a few social platforms. My aim with this post is greater clarity about my platform differences. The important take away is for you to discover which is the platform, so you can find the content that’s up your street.

Let’s jump in.

1. My websites: Currently, this site (Helena Trooperman) and Hollowbury. I aim to reduce that to Helena as I upgrade my site this year to a Nrdly.com website. Hollowbury will be a store page by the end of 2026.
2. My social sites include: Bluesky (Twitter) & Flashes for Blue (like INSTA), Meta’s Facebook & Instagram. Authors can follow me on Linked In, too. 
3. Reader sites: Goodreads.com & BookBub.com

(Note: I do have a readers’ list, [Reader Hat On]. Use the link to find out more about that if you’re interested. The thing to remember about my newsletter is that you can unsubscribe anytime. There’s always a link at the bottom of my emails for this. Enough said!)

These are my general authorly posts. It includes new releases, FAQs, notifications about up and coming events including contests. Any images posted on Instagram will also find a home here and you can sign up to my newsletter. Posts about blogged reviews on other stories in the #nearfuture and #scifi genre will be a bit of an experiment.

This private group is for my readers to have a deeper dive behind the scenes of my stories. For example, how Mr. T set about building me an audiobook recording room. The inside track on my inner circle of Beta readers is the type of posts I’ll be making here. Advanced Reader Missions will also be hosted here. Participants in the group can post too. No spoilers please.

I follow near future and some speculative fiction authors, along with inspirational science that will help global warming and help make a better world. Let’s balance the haters with optimism. I also follow #bookstagram presenters interested in science fiction, strong female characters, and look for rip-roaring yarns of optimism.

You’ll find my book posts here along with story teasers. I’ll also post about the two-worlds I belong to. That’s Canada and the United Kingdom and later the two-worlds my characters belong to.
