LUXUS

The Luxus system’s size 3 star is Lux, thought to be the twin to Sol, long separated at birth and flung from the star cradle in the opposite direction within the Borealis Quadrasphere on the outer reaches of the Trinity Galaxy, known as Triangulum by those that live in the neighbourhood.

Only Vero is inhabited in Luxus and it has five satellites, Correspo, Sema, Deflati, Coher, and Pragma. It is Sema that appears the largest but that is because she’s the closest.

Vero is the home of TRUTH.

SERIES’

Tech Array stories are short by comparison to the others which are books. These are either new inventions or short adventures with the futuristic invention.

Cycle of Renewal stories are the main novels everything else is wrapped around. They can be enjoyed individually but reading them in order enhances their enjoyment. They form a trilogy. All have the same main character, Drek (Harvester family) closely followed in importance by his partner, Semina (Sem).

Variables of Legend are a series of novels which ARE standalone. Books 4, 5, and 6 pertain to COR. Each has a different main character that was a side-character from the main trilogy who has a more significant role. These roles are important and reoccur elsewhere in the Firmament but doesn’t have to be the same character.

I work hard all day, designing and fixing the machines we dig up. In the evening -- we race!

Drek, Harvest Family, Temis Tribe

THE TEMIS

Under the canopy, the Temis meet when their work day is done. There, those that are near to being ‘taken’ meet. The longhouses are home of the Temis’ circular city, built to extend outward as needed. Any trees that are cleared are used to build the new houses or extend the existing family home.

They are a community that lives in the last remaining forest of Vero and they are governed by the five moons and the book of Truth held by their Elders. The tribe is led by Mother Ebe. They are a tribe of hunters, farmers, and gatherers struggling to increase their numbers of Fems with Mals out numbering them six to one.

The Temis know of another tribe but they are thought to have been hunted to near extinction. The hate for the ‘Dulls’ is past from generation to generation.

There are outsiders too. Who knows where they come from, but given a chance they capture Verons for slaves to free the white crystals in the deep hollows in the great crater. The Temis stay in their forest and keep away from others. They have enough trouble… surviving.

May Sema light your way!

Drek, older brother of Benek

HARVESTER FAMILY

Harvester mals sire more femme children but that makes mals of the family few by comparison to other families. Drek and Benek are the only harvester mals available. Benek is as good as taken. Drek is not interested in being taken and whilst his decision has been accepted it is not popular among the Council of Mothers.

THE THEECA

They live at the edge of the great ocean overseen by the great Sema, one of five moons that influence the tumultuous tides of Vero. They live in the cliff face, in communal caverns for shelter until the warmer phases of Sema and venture forth to grow plant food to dry and store for the rest of the cycle of seasons.

They are fish, heal, make, and weave to sell to those in the mountains. They are governed by the Book of Truth and led by Ollopa who is of any gender, elected on their merit and for their wisdom.

I can choose my match but not stay with him all my days. Where is the choice in that?

THE SELTHIA

They live in the mountains and beyond. They are thought to dwell in the large monastery of the Truth Keepers. Where they train to quieten their minds and study The Truth endlessly finding wisdom and keep themselves to themselves. Instead, the monastery is the gatekeeper to the Selthia.

The Selthia are more. They are a growing civilisation governed by the Book of Truth and they have preserved the knowledge of more than two hundred Veron years. They are by far the most tech savvy race of the three and for that reason the alone are kept apart from the Temis and the Theeca until they are ready to know more…

THE THEECA

Most have white hair and pale skin regardless of age, and in the warmer phases of Sema they like to swim at night by her light, in the cool pools inland. They colour their crystalline hair and design their faces. Named after the largest and brightest moon in the heavens, Semina the healer takes some time for herself enjoying her isolation.

I'm no witch and they're not miracles -- I'm a healer and it is my device that guides me.
